Scott A. Rieger

Scott Rieger has been a corporate and investor relations consultant to top management for over 25 years.  He has counseled a diverse portfolio of companies on a wide spectrum of public and investor relations issues, including financial disclosure, corporate governance, public equity and debt offerings and strategic program development. 

 

Prior to establishing ACCESS IR/PR, Rieger served as Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Hollis-Eden Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: HEPH). At Hollis-Eden he was a primary point of contact with investors and the media, and developed and managed investor relations, media relations and corporate communications activities in support of the company’s capital raising and strategic business objectives. He also was responsible for internal and external communications, including the annual report, press releases, management presentations, factsheets and corporate videos, as well as the corporate website and online marketing campaigns.

 

Rieger entered the investor relations field on Wall Street with Georgeson & Company, a leading consulting and proxy solicitation firm.  At Georgeson he served as vice president in New York and later established an office for the firm in Dallas as regional manager and vice president.  Rieger successfully managed his own consulting practice, Strategic Investor Relations, Inc. in San Diego for ten years, after serving as vice president of corporate and investor relations for Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger, Inc. and as a senior associate with a national investor relations consulting group in Dallas, Christensen & Associates, Ltd. 

           

Rieger earned his Masters of Business Administration at Southern Methodist University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree at Washington and Lee University.  He was an instructor at UCSD Extension, where he taught a course on “Investor Relations and Financial Reporting”. 

           

Rieger is a former chairman and board member of the San Diego and Dallas chapters of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and has served on the Board of Directors of BIOCOM San Diego, where he also served as co-chairman of BIOCOM’s Financial Community Relations Subcommittee.  He is past chairman and president of the San Diego Venture Group, past president of the San Diego chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and a former board member of Big Brothers of San Diego.

 

He completed his first Sprint Triathlon in San Diego in 2008 and is training to do so again.  He has also sky dived, and enjoys golf, painting, swimming, running, biking and traveling.
